College Hospital Costa Mesa is a 122 bed, acute medical/surgical and acute psychiatric care facility located in Orange County.
| Medical Surgical Services |
Provides medical/surgical inpatient and outpatient services. Offers patients individualized and personalized care in a hospital setting. Services available include 23 bed medical/surgical unit, 24 hour physician coverage, same day surgery, full service lab, radiology, cardiopulmonary, physical therapy and pharmacy.
This service also provides inpatient care for adults who have low to high psychiatric impairment and require acute medical services. This specialty service provides medical health care to the individual who is experiencing both a medical disease and a psychiatric disorder.
Detoxification for adults is offered under close medical supervision. A professional and supportive staff utilizes both traditional and the newest innovations in detox treatment and interventions.
College Crisis Team – Staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the College Crisis Team is composed of licensed and designated mental health professionals who provide on-site or off-site psychosocial assessment, consultation and referral for psychiatric emergencies in Orange County.
Hospital Helpline – Staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by Intake Specialists who respond to the caller’s needs by arranging crisis team evaluations or providing referral to resources. Helpline assists in the admission process by verifying insurance and preparing the patient for admission
| Adult Psychiatric Services |
Crisis Stabilization Unit – Provides crisis intervention and treatment in a locked environment. Appropriate referrals included thought disorders and high risk patients who require close observation and treatment interventions.
General Psychiatric Units – Programs assist with individual patient needs in locked inpatient settings. Appropriate referrals include adults with major affective disorders with or without conjunction of a substance abuse problem. ECT is also available.
Adult Partial – Out-patient Partial day setting available for patients who require a more structured clinical setting than they could receive in traditional outpatient programs. Our Programs are offered Monday through Sunday. Clients attendance is based on individual needs. Program available in Spanish.
| Adolescent Psychiatric Service |
Acute psychiatric treatment for adolescents offering a behavioral approach in a structured environment with an emphasis on education as well as group and family therapy. Treatment is focused on rapid stabilization and appropriate referral to the next level of care.
